Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information RYW INC (“Octane,” “we,” “us”) collects when you visit getoctane.ai, use the Octane mobile app, or use our other services, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you.

Last updated October 12, 2026

Information we collect

We collect information in three ways:

  • Information you give us. For example, your name, work email, phone number, company and store details, and the messages and requests you send us. When your business sets up your Octane account, we also receive your name, email address, role, and the stores you can access.
  • Information from using our services. For example, the questions you ask by typing or by voice, the photos and files you upload, such as invoices, the changes you make, and your settings.
  • Device and technical information. For example, your browser and device type, the pages you view, and an approximate location based on your IP address when you visit our website. If you turn on notifications in the app, we also receive a token that lets us send them to your device.

If you sign in with Google, Google shares your basic profile with us, such as your name, email address, and profile photo.

The Octane mobile app asks for your permission before it uses your camera, microphone, or notifications, and you can change these choices at any time in your device settings. The app does not collect your precise location or your contacts.

How we use information

  • Provide and operate our website, app, and services, including signing you in and showing the stores your business allows.
  • Provide the features you ask for, such as answering questions, reading invoices, and drafting promotions. Some of these features use artificial intelligence (AI).
  • Send the notifications you turn on, respond to your requests, and send service-related messages.
  • Keep our services secure, troubleshoot problems, and improve our website and services.
  • Understand how our website is used and how well our outreach works.
  • Comply with law and protect Octane, our users, and others.

When we share information

  • With your business. People your business gives access to its Octane workspace, such as owners and managers, can see your name, email address, role, and the changes you make.
  • With service providers. Companies that help us run Octane, such as providers of hosting and storage, sign-in, AI models, notifications, maps and fuel-price data, email, scheduling, and website analytics. They may use the information only to provide their services to us, and we require them to protect it.
  • For legal reasons and business changes. When the law requires it, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

AI features

Some features use AI models from our service providers. When you use one, we send the provider what it needs to respond, such as your question, an invoice image, or related store information. Providers process this information to return results to us and may keep it for a limited time under their own terms.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, including analytics tools, to understand how the site is used. You can limit cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them may affect some site features.

The Octane mobile app does not use cookies, show ads, or include analytics tools from other companies, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, our business records, and legal obligations. Records that belong to your business, such as store data, invoices, and the history of changes, are kept while your business uses Octane and as the law requires. Deleted information may remain in backups for a limited time.

The app keeps some information on your phone so it opens quickly, such as your session, recent store figures, chat conversations, and preferences. Signing out removes your session and chat conversations from the phone.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections, but no system can be guaranteed completely secure. Learn more on our Security page.

Deleting your account

To delete your Octane account, open Settings in the app, tap Delete account, and confirm. Your account is deleted right away. You can also email agent@getoctane.ai from the address you sign in with. We may need to verify an email request, and we will confirm when it is done, within 30 days.

Deleting your account removes your sign-in, your name and email address from your Octane account, and your access to every workspace. Records that belong to your business, such as store data, invoices, files you uploaded, and the history of changes you made, stay with the business. Your business can also end your access at any time.

If you own a business account and want your business’s data and files deleted as well, email agent@getoctane.ai. We will contact you by email to confirm before we delete anything, and we may keep some records where the law requires it.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to certain uses. You can also turn off notifications or change the app’s access to your camera and microphone in your device settings, and ask us to stop sending non-essential email.

Send a request to agent@getoctane.ai. We may need to verify your request. If we decline it, you may appeal by replying to our decision. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Children

Octane is a business service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices change. We will post the revised version here and update the date above.
